d+b facades was founded and is managed by Pete Hillyard who has been involved in overcladding high-rise buildings for more than 25 years and has successfuly delivered c.100 projects in that time.
d+b is an accronym of design and build – the two key and complementary specialist services provided by the Business. By integrating the two, we take single point responsibility from creation of good concept design through installation to completed building which meets the desired performance specifications and achieves all economic, social and environmental sustainability project goals.
Unlike other design and build specialists, d+b facades has experience of property ownership and development having purchased a former local authority-owned, multi-unit residential building and completely refurbished it, showcasing all the benefits of adopting a high-quality approach whilst yielding strong commercial returns.
We have established d+b facades Canada Limited to bring our skills, experience, knowledge and expertise to Canadian tower owners. Our strategic intent is to mirror our success in the UK by focusing on high-quality overcladding of ageing high-rise buildings. We are interested in talking with tower owners and building management companies who may be considering external refurbishment or would like to better understand the benefits that it confers. We are also interested in talking with Real Estate Investment Trusts who may be considering expanding their portfolio and seeking a design and build specialist with development experience to transform uneconomic or abandoned buildings.
