The Stack is a residential development with community space in Hackney, completed in 2018. It consists of twenty four 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, each with a private balcony.
As part of fire safety works, the original cladding and insulation is being stripped and replaced, along with the balcony decking. Windows and balcony balustrade will be retained, with planning for the work granted on the basis of no change to aesthetics. Funding was applied for and secured through the DLUHC Building Safety Fund. Following the successful application, a competitive 2 stage design + build tender was undertaken, with design build facades appointed as the Principal Contractor.
