REFURBISHMENT DELIVERS SIGNIFICANT ENERGY SAVINGS

After a successful phase 1, design build facades were invited back for phase 2 of the refurbishment of the Avon and Wylye Buildings at Wiltshire College & University Centre, Salisbury. That second phase has now been completed. The site is located on a busy gateway into Salisbury and has been transformed with a contemporary energy efficient facade. As well as the visual improvements the economic and environmental benefits are already being felt:

“As well as completing the aesthetic uplift of the campus, the installation of new insulated cladding panels and triple glazed window units to the remaining building elevations has reduced our heating requirement by some forty hours a week, creating a significant reduction in our energy consumption and overall carbon footprint at Salisbury.”

Andy Hill, Head of Estates and Services, Wiltshire College & University Centre
