D+B FACADES TO REFURBISH ORNITHOLOGY BUILDING, NATURAL HISTORY BUILDING, TRING

d+b facades is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to refurbish the Ornithology Building, Natural History Museum, Tring.

The Ornithology Building houses one of the largest ornithological collections in the world, originally created by Walter Rothschild. The building has been shrouded in protective scaffolding for some years as its precast aggregate cladding panels have failed and become unsafe. Following a Pre-Contract Services Agreement (PCSA) to assess its structural integrity and determine the scope of works, d+b facades was awarded the contract for aluminium over-cladding, replacement windows, roofing and installation of photovoltaic panels.
