NET ZERO TARGETS DISCUSSED AT AUDE

design build facades had a busy few days at AUDE catching-up with past and present clients and meeting many new faces too.

Net zero targets were a key topic for discussion, and everyone agreed that decarbonising the built estate is a priority and that a fabric first approach should be implemented in any portfolio of measures. Whilst capital investment remains an issue for many, Salix Finance Ltd are already administering the funding of a number of projects in the sector and will be inviting new applications shortly for the next round of funding.

The Building Safety Act was also a topic of discussion. Whilst projects in Wales are presently exempt, it is widely anticipated that Wales will soon follow England’s lead and implement new building safety regulations.
