£1BN ALLOCATED TO CUT EMISSIONS FROM PUBLIC BUILDINGS LIKE SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS AND COUNCIL BUILDINGS

As part of the Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy, the government has awarded nearly £1bn for carbon retrofit projects. This builds on the plan for a Green Industrial revolution helping to cut out all carbon emissions by 2050.

£932m has been directed to 429 projects across England to help fund more energy-efficient insulation in buildings. This will provide potential savings to businesses and property owners of around £2bn per year in energy costs in 2030 and cut annual carbon emissions by over 2 million tonnes.

d+b facades are committed to helping you achieve your carbon emission targets. Sustainable Refurbishment will help meet these institutional carbon reduction goals, harnessing the existing Embodied Carbon of the building and reducing the Operational Carbon and repaying the capital cost of refurbishment many times over through heating energy savings alone.
